Tank To Tote

This is a great easy way to take tanks and camis that are old/too small/too big and turn them into useful and pretty tote bags. For this DIY you will need:
-Old tank top
-Matching thread
-Sewing Machine/Needle
-Fabric scissors
-Pins

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.
Always save your scrap fabric! You never know when you can use it up.

6.
Sew 2 rows of wide stitches round the bottom of the tank top, do not back tack and leave threads to pull on.

7.
Gather all around the bottom of the tank.

8.
The finished bag should look basically like this. You should turn the tank inside out to sew the last seam.

9.
Sew completely along the bottom of the vest and turn back around. Your new tote is finished!

This is a great way to use up old tanks and turn them into cute bags! And if you don't fancy making it yourself you can find it and all my DIY's on my etsy page here.
